Carob Walnut Truffles Gluten free
Chocolatey, Nutty and Crunchy all at the same time!
What a winner for a dessert!!! Your guests will never know these carob walnut truffles are gluten free and dairy free. Not only that they will never guess it’s not cocoa powder.
Carob is the hidden gem which sparkles in any dessert especially these carob walnut truffles. It’s creamy, tasty and easy to work with.
Carob powder can easily replace cocoa powder as well as carob chips instead of chocolate chips. The difference is the sugar content. If you’re concerned about your refined sugar intake then carob is a perfect choice for these carob walnut truffles.
Ingredients You Will Need for carob walnut truffles:
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
1/2 cup oat milk
1 tsp vanilla
4 tbsp carob powder
100g melted dark chocolate
3 tsp chia seeds
3 tbsp cacao nibs
4 tbsp MCT coconut oil (or use regular oil)
2 tbsp sunflower seeds
2 tbsp hemp seeds
Step 1
Melt Chocolate
In this recipe I used dairy free chocolate chips.
Boil a half filled pot of water on medium heat. Place a bowl on top, put the chocolate in the bowl and let it melt fully until all the lumps dissolve.
Add milk (I chose to use oat milk but almond milk or macadamia milk will work just as well for these carob walnut truffles). Set aside to cool.
Step 2
Prepare DRY Ingredients
In a separate bowl combine all the dry ingredients:
- walnut
- carob powder
- chia seeds
- cacao nibs
- sunflower seeds
- hemp seeds

Step 3
If using liquid vanilla add it to the chocolate mixture.
Add the oil to the chocolate mixture.
Step 4
Combine WET and DRY ingredients for carob walnut truffles
Combine all the dry with wet ingredients and mix well.
Roll into balls and lay on to baking sheet or any flat surface container.
Step 5
Refrigerate 3 hrs
Finishing Touches
Drizzle melted chocolate over the balls or toss in finely chopped walnuts.😋😋
