BENEFITS AND CHARACTERISTICS

Ever heard of it?  Me either until recently.  My inquisitive nature was determined to try it.  I am so glad I did.  I added it to smoothies, juices, baking so far.  All formats were pleasant.  

Now that I’ve tried it I’m going to be a loyal user. I love the massive protein content (45g of protein per 100g of tara seed).

You know there is a constant struggle to get enough protein when you you’re following a gluten and dairy free meal program. .

Tara Seed is odourless and has no distinct taste which makes it easy to add to anything. It’s smooth texture is a huge bonus, this makes it easy to add to smoothies and shakes. 

These banana bread muffins are super tasty, soft and basically addictive.

You will notice there is no sweetener in the ingredient list, that’s right.  These tara seed banana bread muffins are naturally sweet from the bananas and the raisins.

Step 1

Prepare Bananas

Using a fork, mash the ripe banana into a puree state, add cinnamon and allspice to banana.  Set aside.

 

Step 2

Prepare DRY Ingredients for Tara Seed Banana Bread Muffins:

In a separate bowl, combine all other dry ingredients and mix well.

Step 3

Prepare WET Ingredients for Tara Seed Banana Bread Muffins:

  • Beat eggs in a separate bowl (bigger size bowl to accommodate all the mixture).
  • Add oil
  • Add Milk

Step 4

Prepare Tara Seed Banana Bread Muffins

Add the DRY ingredients mixture to the WET ingredients and mix well.

Lastly add the mashed bananas.  Fill into baking dish and Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

1 + 1/2 cups navy bean flour

1/2 cup chickpea flour

1 tsp vanilla

1/8 tsp cinnamon

1/8 tsp all spice

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup milk

1/4 cup raisins

3 tbsp tara seed flour

2 tbsp ground flax seed

1/4 cup avocado oil

3 medium size eggs

4 ripe bananas

Breakfast, Mid-Morning, Mid-Afternoon, After Dinner ….. Whenever!! It is sooooo good you will want to eat it all the time  😋😋
